During the annual meeting of the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation in early July, Escambia County Schools Superintendent Malcolm Thomas praised the critical partnership that the foundation provided county schools.
“Having a foundation is really not an option any more,” he said. “ It is simply no longer possible to do everything we need to do for the students in the classroom using public funds alone.”
